An Ancient Affirmation for Harmony and Right Action

Recently a dear friend,Gwen gave me a gift of intuition cards. Designed and written by Francine Hart, Sacred Geometry Cards. One of the cards, # 16 has a sunset prayer which resonated with me, as it may with you. It is very powerful.
I forgive myself and all beings
for any miss-thought word or action that occurred in this day.
I acknowledge that the universe is unlimited potential and
all is transforming in perfect divine order in my life at this time.
To choose and create healing in your life, in every day, in each moment stay in connection with harmony and right action. Let go of all pass hurts by feeling the emotional pain, acknowledging it, then consiously turning your attentio towards connecting emotions, usually found in the small moments of life….birds on the feeder, sunrises, sunsets, a child’s laugh, the touch and word of a loved one. This is how forgiveness happens. A choice in a moment. Forgiveness is giving up hope for a different past. it does not mean you condone, you just do not judge. And it all happens in the present moment. That is how healing happens.
The Power of Connection in Crisis

I have not written a post for a while. The recent world crises and especially the earthquake in Haiti, has stimulated some thoughts that I would like to share with you.
It seems to me that more and more often, humanity is being offered opportunities that highlight our similarities in crisis and loss. The current aftermath of the earthquake in Haiti is no exception. This morning, it brings to mind, the opportunity we all have to offer support in whatever manner possible. And as is always the case, perhaps this is the mechanism by which the awareness of the world is now focused upon Haiti and her people. With this awareness of their current suffering comes also the awareness that these people have suffered for many years.
In the past, it has been easy to become disconnected from the suffering of people that are not our neighbors…for that matter, often we may also shut out the suffering of those close to us. We disconnect our self from the pain of another, often because we feel helpless to change it.
There is always something we can do. Prayer, meditation, holding the image of a better life for the Haitians, as well as others, connect us, and make a difference, and changes the energy of devastation. Go ahead, contribute your time, energy, and money, and, also, hold the Haitian people in your heart with hope and a vision for improving this situation.
This is good advice for all crises and situations which creates loss, in the world as well as in our personal lives and professional lives. The pain of loss signals that we are out of connection with our self, our Creator, Others, and the Earth. It is our task to feel the feelings associated with that disconnection, and then look for ways to reconnect. Focus on those experiences and actions that provide a sense of connection. For example, there were many experiences of rescue in Haiti, as well as a wonderful story of an couple from Iowa finding their soon to be adopted child safe and sound; the orphanage intact. To experience connection, focus on the hopefulness of an experience such as the one mentioned. Experience and radiate that sense of hope you feel from your heart when thinking about this situation, and consciously replace the negative feelings of sadness and helplessness you may feel with hopefulness. Through this simple but powerful conscious choice, you help change the energy helplessness created by this crisis and their loss. Make no mistake, this is a powerful tool to help any crisis from and internal and external perspective. Focusing on devastation and loss does not help. Focus on the hopefulness of the situation. Envision a better life for the Haitian people. Go ahead send money, or volunteer,
AND image a better place. Image a better world.
Thoughts on Fear

Fear is the purest form of disconnection. In the final analysis we humans experience two basic emotions, fear or love, (said another way, safe or unsafe). In reality, all of the range of human emotions can be reduced to two emotions, fear or love. All of our experiences are interpreted by our brain, in this manner. When we desire healing, we must become consciously aware of what our perceptions or stories about what is occuring is telling us about our beliefs. Are we feeling fearful, secure, safe, or unsafe. Do we feel loved?
For example, the world financial crisis is a symptom of a bigger issue that needs to be healed within all oif us. What or who is the source of your security? Is it money? Is it material possessions? Is it the government? Is it another person? All can contribute, but only if you believe in their ability to do so.
It seems that our society has been lulled into believing that this is the source of our security. And, when the majority of the world is experiencing the same fear, it is in our face so to speak, and we are forced to recognize that things need to change in our society . Perhaps it is not an external things that needs to change, but the source of our security that requires change.
I personally think and feel what needs to change is our collective belief that the answers to this financial crisis are external. Healing always involves a unification of mind, body, spirit, and emotions, and a realignment of connection with our inner resources, our inner essence, and a connection with a power or creative energy bigger than our self, which is the source of our creation.
We are not only in an external financial crisis, we are facing an internal spiritual crisis collectively as a nation, and collectively as a member of a larger global community. Just as curring a crisis is different than healing a crisis, increasing our awareness of our internal security is as important as reestablishing our faith in the external world.
What ever we individually ,and for that matter, how ever , we choose to cope, during these times, in the end, we must feel more connected to life than disconnected, and more secure within, then threatened. Throwing more money at the situation will work, only if it changes the entire world’s perception and feelingabout the external solutions one individual at a time. We as a nation and and a member of a global community have been looking outward for our sense of security, when we also need to look within. An inner sense of security and trust is the only true source of security. The fear that is aroused can serve as a catalyst to help us examine our core beliefs. To cure this financial problem may help temporarily, but the ”healing” of this problem must address the underlying belief that security lies outside of our self.
In my book, I discuss fear as a feeling of disconnection, and an emotional symptom of a fear -based person, disconnected from the truth of who they were born to be. Trying to cure the cause of our fears may help, but only temporarily. We humans must begin to look within for the answers and examine why we have become so focused and reliant on external sources of security. I believe this current crisis is an opportunity to examine your beliefs, and how those beliefs form your day to day actions and choices. For example, indivduals who loan money to people they know cannot afford it, and individuals who borrow money they know they cannot repay, are out of integrity with them selves, and disconnected from their true self.
Be the change you desire in our world. Today, be aware of the financial crisis, do what you must, recognize your fear, feel it….then endeavor to find moments of connection. Refuse to focus on the disconnection of your fear. Consciously choose and intend to find “Connecting” moments. Spend some time in nature, or with people you love, or small children. Small children have not yet learned to be disconnected from their true self. Allow them the opportunity to teach you, and help you remember the art of living in the the present moment. Find laughter and choose to see beauty. Refuse to allow your brain to see only fear. Just for today choose to see more connection in your life than disconnection. Connection only happens in the present moment.
